Next week’s Home and Away episodes see John Palmer suffer a sudden health scare, while Mackenzie Booth has a new love triangle and Jasmine Delaney’s strange behaviour around baby Grace begins to escalate.

Here’s a full collection of ten big moments coming up.

After collapsing during the Parata family’s housewarming party, John is rushed into hospital. Results confirm that he has suffered a brain aneurysm and his loved ones anxiously wait for further news.

Although John’s condition is later stabilised, his motor skills have been affected by his health scare and there may be a long recovery process.

2. John makes a difficult decision

Marilyn is distraught by John’s hospital dash and she can’t stop herself from constantly fussing over him. Although they were estranged at the time of the party, their past tensions appear to be long forgotten as Marilyn focuses all of her efforts on making sure that John is okay.

John reacts badly to Marilyn’s behaviour, frustrated by her fussing and not wanting her to see him like this. It’s left to Alf to break the news to Marilyn that John would prefer her to stay away from the hospital. Despite the setback, Marilyn promises to be there for John as soon as he wants her back.

Tori is called into work and leaves Grace with Jasmine for a while. Justin finds out and is uncomfortable with Tori’s choice of babysitter, still sensing that something isn’t right with Jasmine’s behaviour.

Justin decides to take Grace back from Jasmine once he’s free to do so, but he struggles to track them down. Once he finally finds Jasmine, he questions her on her movements and why she wasn’t answering her phone. As ever, Jasmine has her excuses but Justin isn’t entirely convinced.

4. Jasmine develops a worrying new habit

Justin’s suspicions prove to be warranted when we later see Jasmine posting on an online forum for mothers.

Jasmine starts making posts which suggest that she is Grace’s biological mother, living out a fantasy as she cuts Tori out of the picture entirely. Nobody is aware of what Jasmine is up to, but her worrying behaviour could be a hint of more trouble to come in Summer Bay.

5. Jasmine and Willow clash again

Willow has also fallen out with Jasmine but is hoping to make peace. Despite Willow’s best efforts, Jasmine goes further with the feud by sacking her from the gym and encouraging her to move out.

Colby gets involved in the tensions and is pleasantly surprised when Jasmine opens up, acknowledging some of her struggles and how she doesn’t understand what’s happening to her.

Jasmine later makes her peace with Willow, but that doesn’t stop her from writing more posts on the forum.

6. Tane reveals his feelings for Mackenzie

Tane opens up over his family’s history in a cosy chat with Mackenzie at Salt. Ari isn’t pleased to see them looking so close and tries to warn Mackenzie that Tane is only using her to annoy him.

When Mackenzie questions Tane on whether this is true, he admits that his original focus on her was down to game-playing, but he now genuinely believes that they’d be good together.

Mackenzie wants to stay loyal to Ari and focuses her attentions on playing peacemaker between the two brothers. However, when Ari discovers that Tane genuinely likes Mackenzie, a truce between the siblings seems unlikely.

7. Gemma and Ben grow closer

Gemma’s new friendship with Ben continues to grow and the mood between them is bordering on flirtatious as they catch up at Salt. Maggie sees them together and calls out Ben for moving on quickly from their broken marriage. Ben is unapologetic and reminds Maggie that his personal life isn’t her business anymore.

Nikau is also annoyed to see Ben and Gemma growing so close, fearing that his late father is being forgotten.

Despite everyone’s disapproval, Ben and Gemma head to a motel room together. With both feeling slightly tipsy, how far will things go?

8. Roo decides to tell Ryder the truth

Ryder organises a family lunch so that Alf and Martha can get a more formal introduction to his father Evan. Alf seems to finally accept Evan when he reveals his reasons for staying away for so many years.

Although the meal seems to be going well, Roo gets annoyed when Evan talks about long-term plans. She fears that he’s giving Ryder false hope as he continues to hide the fact that he’s terminally ill.

Realising that it’s time Ryder knew the truth, Roo decides to tell him everything.

Ryder is devastated by the news that he may not have Evan in his life for long. He speaks to Nikau, who has also lost a father, and realises the importance of making positive memories with Evan while he still can.

Hiding the fact that he knows the truth about Evan’s illness, Ryder asks him to take centre stage in a live music night at Salt. Evan initially refuses, but could he be talked round?

Dean decides that he’d like to take Ziggy away on a road trip, but Ziggy is preoccupied by her work commitments. He decides to go over Ziggy’s head by asking Justin whether it’d be okay for Ziggy to take some time off to join a surf competition.

Justin agrees, but Ziggy is furious when she finds out that Dean went behind her back. Dean comes up with a peace offering by giving Ziggy some new tools and is relieved when the gesture goes down well.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5, with first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR.
