MassMutual — a national insurance company, has rolled out a health insurance program for frontline workers who have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. The program, which offers eligible front line workers with free life insurance, is called HealthBridge, and was created as a response to the pandemic.

The eligibility requirements include being a US citizen, between the ages of 18 and 60 who actively works at least 10 hours per month at a Healthcare or medical service provider in the United States. The individual must also make no more than $25,000 a year, and be regularly exposed to COVID-19 on the job.

The vice president of the NJ-NYC chapter of MassMutual, Nimeish Trivedi, is passionate about his work for MassMutual, and specifically about the ways in which HealthBridge has already helped so many frontline workers.

“Thank you’s are great, but what can a company like us do to really help. This is about giving them what they deserve and need.” He said, in an interview, “It takes 2 days to get the approval, it takes no blood work. They can do it online. It’s our small way as a token of appreciation for the front line workers.”

As frontrunners in the insurance industry, MassMutual was able to set aside $3 billion for the program, Trivedi said. The company, which has been around for 170 years, has already disposed of over $100 million to Americans around the country who have been actively combatting the virus since early March. When the funds run out, MassMutual has plans in place to fund the program even further, to get all American frontline workers the life insurance they deserve.

This was MassMutaul’s way to thank frontline employees and find a way to give back, in a time where many of them have risked their lives for their fellow American people.

“Doing good for the community is nothing too new for us.” Trivedi said, “We’ve had programs in the past to make a difference. We already had a platform available. It was a question of this is what we’ve committed to do, and how do we do it going forward”

The application is available on MassMutual’s website, and is very easy to go through. As Trivedi said, it takes less than five minutes to apply for something that can change the lives of many of our American frontline workers. There is no application fee, and no required health documents. MassMutual has made it simple and easy for busy healthcare workers who have been challenged by the pandemic to receive life insurance for free.

“Please spread this message. This is real, there is no catch, no hidden fee. Get the link and apply for it,” Trivedi said. For more information, you can reach out to Nimesh Trivedi at [email protected]
