A state lawmaker in Michigan has posted a series of voicemails online in which the callers threaten her life.

“New call attempts to my personal phone,” Rep. Cynthia Johnson said in a Facebook post late Sunday night. “And if a message was left, I’ll make them famous!”

In separate earlier posts, Johnson shared several voicemails from recent days that were left by anonymous callers from area codes around the country.

One caller told the Black lawmaker she would be “hanging from the gallows.”

Johnson, a Democrat, was one of the Michigan lawmakers on a panel that heard testimony from President TrumpDonald John TrumpDozens of protesters gathered outside home of Michigan elections chief Arizona legislature shuts down after Giuliani tests positive for coronavirus Trump election claims dominate Georgia Senate debate MORE‘s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and others about unfounded allegations of voter fraud in the state.

“You’re allowing people to come here and lie,” Johnson told Republicans on the panel during the hearing.

In another voice message, one caller told Johnson she would “pay” for “what she’s doing.”

Johnson was portrayed by comedians during a “Saturday Night Live” skit this weekend that was about the hearing.

“The SNL skit was amusing, I guess, but last night my caucus was trying to figure out how to keep those on that committee safe from the deluge of death threats they’re receiving,” said state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky, a fellow Democrat. “I’m sorry to be a bummer and I’m glad people enjoyed the skit, but the reality of it is heinous.”
