PEORIA (WEEK) – Peoria’s only exclusive plus size boutique is celebrating their two year anniversary, and keeping afloat during the pandemic hasn’t been easy.

Owner of Curvology Boutique, Beth Fisher said she’s had to make a lot of changes to adapt to the new normal.

In order to to stay connected, she’s been accommodating to her customers needs through online shopping access, social media, and hosting plenty of Facebook live events.

“When the pandemic hit I immediately converted the entire business to online, said Fisher. “We continue to do Facebook lives every couple of weeks just to keep them engaged because there are still some customers who just don’t feel comfortable coming out yet.”

Sunday customers were lined up outside the door waiting to shop for the businesses anniversary event, and show their support for the local business.

“I’m always so happy to be here because its just a positive environment and it just relieves a lot of stress,” said frequent shopper, Valerie Hoffert. “I kind of consider it like a family, if i ever just need someone to come and talk to, I know I can come here and talk to Beth or any of the girls that work here.”

Fischer says her online sales have been increasing ever since she launched the platform, however the battle of maintaining her business isn’t over yet.

“I don’t want to say we’ve survived the pandemic because we’re still in the middle of it,” said Fisher.
