The video was recorded outside of police headquarters during a protest Friday night. The police union shared it online, saying the protester’s words crossed a line.

After 19 weeks of protests, words from Stacy Shaw in the video troubled the Kansas City Police Union.

“You don’t think that we know where all of y’all live? You don’t think we don’t know where your children go to school?” Shaw is heard saying in the video.

FOP president Brad Lemon posted the video online, reminding officers to be aware of their surroundings and potential threats.

“What doesn’t need to happen though when they put on their uniform and they go to work is that they have to worry about their spouse and they have to worry about their children. That’s off limits,” Lemon said.

Shaw said that she did not threaten violence.

“I don’t need any sort of weapon. What we’re going to start doing is we’re going to start using your character against you. You will have no one. No one that loves you after we get done with this next campaign,” Shaw says in the video.

At a news conference, Shaw said there are people who want to make it personal.

“Even when the community wants to dox officers, several organizers including myself said, ‘We are going to keep it professional. We are going to occupy in front of their job. We’re not going to allow you to bring their families into this, and my statement was a sharp juxtaposition on our restraint,'” Shaw said.
